This image was taken in January 2014 when Cyclone Dylan made landfall at Dingo Beach. Its impact was still felt in Mackay due with high winds and a coinciding king tide. Unlike the prior image in colour titled “East Point East,” this picture in black and white is being published for the very first time in 2023.
