Tangled Connection

Kathmandu  NEPAL

A dense web of wires clings to the aging façade, twisting and looping like an unruly mass of veins. The building, its walls cracked and weathered, stands in quiet defiance of time. A lone blue cloth flutters from an open window, breaking the monotony of gray with a splash of color. Someone inside has hung it there—perhaps to dry, perhaps to provide some privacy.

A street light, rusted and barely clinging to the wall is supported by a wire tied to the window’s grill above – it probably still operates. Below, a cluster of coiled cables dangles precariously, whispering stories of hasty repairs and makeshift solutions. The open windows stare outward, some with missing panes, others covered with tattered fabric, shielding the unseen lives within.

Electricity flows through these tangled lines, connecting homes, lighting rooms, and bridging gaps in this aging cityscape. Despite the disorder, life pulses steadily through the chaos, adapting, enduring, and moving forward.
