Wired Chaos

Kathmandu  NEPAL

Electrical wires weave across the streets of Kathmandu like an indecipherable web, twisting and turning in a chaotic tangle. They dangle precariously from an overburdened utility pole, nearly disappearing beneath the knotted mass—a silent testament to years of patchwork repairs and a city racing ahead of its infrastructure.

Beneath this tangled web, weathered buildings endure, their facades peeling, bricks exposed, and balconies overflowing with flower pots. Life pushes forward despite the disorder above—shopkeepers roll open their shutters, pedestrians thread through the narrow streets, and the overloaded lines buzz with electricity.

The scene reveals a city where necessity overcomes order, where modernity and tradition collide in an uneasy rhythm. The wires, like veins, carry the city’s lifeblood, reflecting the chaotic yet synchronized movement below. Despite the visible disorder, both systems, tangled and imperfect, somehow keep the city running.
