The tide has receded, leaving a solitary orange leaf behind on the shore. Each time I see items washed ashore, questions arise—where did it come from, how long was it in the water, and where will it go next? I appreciate the simplicity of this image, as it evokes a sense of calm. This was captured with a 25-second exposure as the light began to fade, adding a serene, dreamlike quality to the scene.
