Slade Point  MACKAY QLD
Rectangle, Aspect 1:1.5
Captured with Digital Camera – Infrared 30 Second exposure

At first glance, this image appears like a winter scene, with a snowy landscape. However, it was captured in tropical Queensland during the peak of the day. The photograph is an infrared image, where light beyond the visible spectrum is used to create a monochrome effect. Objects that emit more infrared light, such as plants, appear brighter, appearing white in the final image, while those emitting less infrared light appear darker. This creates a striking contrast, giving the photograph a surreal and otherworldly feel.
