The weathered jetty on the Pioneer River, which has since been removed, had stood the test of time. Captured at dusk under an overcast sky, the long exposure smooths the water, giving it the appearance of being dipped into steaming liquid. A closer look reveals fragments of the structure clinging on, supported by rope and wire, while the timber is on the verge of breaking away. Slowly, it surrenders to the forces of nature with each passing tide and storm.
