Dawn Delight

Shoal Point  MACKAY  QLD
Panoramic, Aspect 3:1
Captured with Medium Format Velvia 50 Film

Located some 50 meters from the shoreline this tree had already been dead for many years when this image was captured, now, sadly this lone tree no longer stands, all that remains is a small stump.  It’s hard to imagine that where this tree once stood was the shoreline and most probably beyond, perhaps at one point even Green Island was part of the mainland. Weather events and time have slowly eaten away and claimed the land.

I captured this image early one morning at twilight while I waited for sunrise.  I just happened to turn around and saw this beautiful soft pink and blue sky, I quickly repositioned my camera and took this photo.  This sky was like this for a brief moment gradually dissolving into blue as the sun began to rise.
