Ghostly

Slade Point  MACKAY  QLD
Panoramic, Aspect 3:1
Captured with Digital Camera – Infrared 25 Second exposure

I like to experiment with different photography techniques trying ways to come up with unique images of something we see every day.  This particular technique uses infrared instead of visible light to create the photo.  Infrared photography produces very interesting results never really knowing how the final image will turn out.  Infrared photography has many challenges and the technique requires you to see the image differently than you would with traditional photography.

Anything that produces infrared such as plants and other living thing is white, the more infrared it produces the whiter it is and things that do not emit infrared such as skies, rocks and nonliving things are black.  An infrared image is normally red and I have decided to convert this image into a blue monochrome.
