Several rickshaws park as their drivers wait for the next fare on this late afternoon. The lull in work allows them to adjust or repair their man-powered machines. One rickshaw stands alone, its owner absent. It looks worn compared to the others—lacking colorful adornments, just a tired, stripped-down ride. The seat, covered with rags and a plastic bag, offers a small attempt at comfort for the driver.
Another rickshaw whizzes past, too fast to tell if it carries a passenger or if the driver simply has somewhere urgent to be.
