Cradled deep within the gorge, a small village stirs to life as the first rays of sunlight pour into the valley. The mist, which had settled overnight, begins to lift and dissipate, melting away beneath the warmth of the morning sun. Towering mountains protect the village, surrounding it on all sides with their mighty presence. Unfazed, the Dudh Koshi River snakes past with a cheerful rush, continuing its journey through the landscape.
Reaching this place is grueling, given the steep and rugged terrain, but the resilience of the Nepalese people is unmatched. For them, this difficult journey is likely a routine task, crucial for bringing in food and supplies necessary for daily survival.
