High above the valley, I captured the Dudh Koshi River as it wound its way through the rugged Himalayan landscape. Its turquoise waters stood in sharp contrast to the earthy tones of the surrounding forest. This river, already a silent storyteller, has traveled a long distance, yet its journey is far from over—continuing to weave its way through the mountains until it merges with other rivers and ultimately reaches the Ganges. From this vantage point, the river’s deafening roar reminded me of its relentless power, carving its path through the land. On the opposite hillside, a solitary stone and tin structure stood quietly, surrounded by nothing but the river, mountains, and trees.
