Mallow Morning

Iluka Beach MACKAY

Square, Aspect 1:1
Captured with Medium Format Velvia 50 Film

I find Mangroves very interesting as they play a large part in preventing erosion of beaches and habitats for many small creatures.  Photographically I see them even more interesting since they can be photographed during high tides with sometimes just the tops of the plant is sticking out of the water to low tides when roots and all can be seen.  Throw in some beautiful light and clouds and you get endless photo opportunities.

This scene was just that, the light highlighting the small shoots and in the background fully grown mangrove and a purple sky as the backdrop.
