Street Pause

The morning sun casts soft shadows on the worn pavement. A Royal Enfield and a scooter sit nose to nose outside a shop, their riders absent. A lone helmet dangles from the scooter’s handlebar, while the Enfield rider thinks it’s cooler to wear a cap.
The small shop, with one shutter open, is in the process of preparing for the day’s trade. Inside, packets of snacks hang from makeshift hooks as the shopkeeper, hidden from view, readies for the rush that will come as the city awakens perhaps one of the bikes belongs to the shop owner.
Above, tangled wires crisscross the façade, a testament to the urban sprawl’s chaotic beauty. The chipped walls and faded paint whisper stories of time and resilience. For now, the scene remains still—a brief pause before the street stirs into life.
